Hi there!
My name is Annie, and I’m just an ordinary Texas gal doing my best to navigate life and motherhood. I strive to live fully, simply, and intentionally. I love all things HOME-Homeschool, Homebirth (three so far!), Homestead (one day!), and Home-on-Wheels (when we travel on the road in our little silver trailer).
I’ve been homeschooling my three littles for the past seven years and oh wow, what an adventure it has been! Prior to that, I followed my childhood dreams of becoming a teacher and graduated from the University of Texas in Austin with a degree in Education and a specialization in reading instruction. I taught 2nd and 6th grade in all subjects at an incredible International Baccalaureate school, took on team leadership roles for my grade level, and mentored new teachers. When I’m not in the classroom, I led summer education programs at the local zoo or taught English to 4th graders in Taiwan.
The experiences in the classroom have been invaluable because it has allowed me to bridge the best of both worlds-combining the years of invigorating, fulfilling classroom experience and the humbling, empowering, wonder-filled experiences of homeschooling.
My mission for The Wonder-filled Chronicles is to share my homeschooling adventures and create beautiful, purposeful resources to foster even more wonder-filled learning experiences!
